Have any photos, info, stories on your Advent Loudspeakers? Please leave a comment or email me. Here's a great forum thread on how to identify your Advent Loudspeakers. The Large Advent seems to be very well liked. These speakers needed a re foam on the woofers, bracing on the inside cabinet, sanding and a new coat of Minwax and crossover work along. These speakers are large, larger than the Pioneer HPM-60s and larger than the JBL L26s. Im having difficulty finding information on the Maestro. The Advent 5012, from what I gather are the last rendition of the large Advent and the best with the soft dome tweeter. In my area there is the Large Advent for 160.00 and the Advent Maestro for 180.00. Im leaning towards vintage speakers for my Luxman L-410. They do an excellent job, and I have earned the HiFi Collector recommendation badge of approval! Quote: Originally Posted by Albert Abramson /forum/post/0. I've talked about how I like my receivers to have a little coloration in their sound, but I like my speakers to deliver only what I send them - hypocritical? Maybe. It's not that Advent invented the best loudspeaker ever created when The Loudspeaker hit the stage in 1976 (circa), it's that it sounded so natural, so good for its price.
